Historical, updated cottage:
One of the first island cottages on Charleston Lake, this historical beauty was originally purchased as a fishing camp in 1922 by Charles & Christina Hraba, Czechoslovakian-born, emigrated to Syracuse, NY, and parents of Dorothy Hraba Hill (9/9/19-3/17/07). Dorothy spent each summer of her life at Charleston Lake, and loved it dearly, as we all do now. Dorothy and Hugh Hill were parents of Judy and Marty Hill, of Syracuse, NY, who spent their summer childhoods growing up with the rest of the kids at Charleston Lake. What a great place to spend the summers, away from the hot city! During this time, a great love of this beautiful lake has evolved, and we now offer it for a few summer weeks ONLY to renters that will cherish it as we do.
PLEASE LEAVE PLACE AS CLEAN AS YOU FOUND IT; minimum broom-clean, sinks, shower, toilet clean, dishes washed and put away (including from dishwashers if avail), no food left in fridge except possibly condiments; PLEASE NOTIFY agent OF ANY PERCEIVED PROBLEMS UPON ARRIVAL SO THAT YOU ARE NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE.
We are pet friendly but appreciate those that clean up after their pets and don't allow wet dogs in the house or on furniture. Some folks are allergic to pets, and we must insist that the vacuum is used on all furniture before leaving. No pets upstairs.
