108 Big Waters Lane Lookout Lodge - PET FRIENDLY
Description: Sleeps 1-6; This is such a lovely vintage cottage if you are looking for a quiet, restful stay away from the hustle and bustle. Being updated bit by bit, the owners are still retaining a lot of the old-time quaintness.
(NOTICE: This cottage is on the windy side of Big Waters, so unless you have a kayak or canoe that can be lifted up onto the dock/shore, we do not recommend your planning to park another type of boat there, unattended). The solution is to rent a boat from Kelsey's and use the docking spot at the marina to come and go from, or keep your boat on the trailer and launch it daily at either of the free launch ramps in Charleston) We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we can't control Mother Nature! We are presently looking for a dockage spot near the cottage that would be satisfactory. Fabulous eat-in screened porch with large family table, cozy interior with 3 bedrooms, outdoor propane BBQ, and lovely, natural surroundings. There is a telephone land line but no TV or Internet, at owner's preference. They feel that the place should allow you to get away and have a real vacation from the hustle and bustle of the internet. If you have internet, you will spend all your time on it, instead of enjoying one of Gods most beautiful, peaceful spots on Charleston Lake, Ontario, Canada.
**Please feel free to set up your own Internet hot spot if you simply cannot bear to be away for a few days.**
PLEASE LEAVE PLACE AS CLEAN AS YOU FOUND IT; minimum broom-clean, sinks, shower, toilet clean, dishes washed and put away (including from dishwashers if avail), no food left in fridge except possibly condiments; take your garbage with you or drop off on Sat am at Kelsey's Marina @ $4/bag. (hint: if you step on boxes they will take up much less room in your haul).
NOTE: UPON ARRIVAL, PLEASE NOTIFY Judy Kelsey[email protected] OF ANY PERCEIVED PROBLEMS SO THAT YOU ARE NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE. This is same email address to notify of any issues during your stay.
There is no TV or Wifi at this cottage (there is a radio). You will either have to purchase a hub (Bell and others have them) and for a monthly fee it can be used by anyone at the cottage, and it can be turned off when not needed.
Other option is to enable "data" on your phone.
Last option: enjoy your stay without interruption from the outside world. You owe it to yourself!
This is a pet-friendly cottage, as long as renters watch their pets and clean up after them so that we don't have to remove this option. We know pets are part of the family and do not want to turn them away.
